finish the year with a few Blood Bowl! I’m member of a club where meets of
numerous players of Blood Bowl, a league is organized every year and for this
new season, I decided to play an Orc team.
sleeps in a cardboard box since 4ans, I tried to sell it but unsuccessfully.
Finally, I am very happy to have preserved it because these figurines are very
nice to paint. The colors of this team are the ones famous " Orkland
Raiders ". Yellow / black / green is a very good association of colors, I
simply added a touch of white to increase the US Football spirit!
For the curious! I painted these 18 models in exactly 4 weeks . I started by glue/paint the bases and undercoat every models. After that, I painted all model one buy one . One buy evening except the Ogre : 2 hours for an Orc,1 hour for a Goblin and 6 hours for the Ogre.
models are sculpted at the end of the 80s (Blood Bowl 2nd), maybe you noticed
it, we find many postures of Ork Rogue Trader of the same period. These models
are the emblem of Blood Bowl of this period, they are timeless and don’t age. I
have a single regret concerning these orcs, line men are too ugly! I slightly
modified 2 catchers to obtain 2 Linemen, tastier for me like this. You will also notice that
I added the figurine of Oldhammer Day on 2014 (Thank you JB), I sculptured a
new hand and I replaced his scepter. So, he’s my Turn marker and Chearleaderl
is my ReRoll marker.
Guyz is traditionally the Troll but I absolutely wanted to paint this Ogre of
Jes Goodwin (Blood Bowl 1st), I play it in "count as” Troll. This figurine
is brilliant, its posture is massive, its armor has a lot of style. His
shoulder strap looks like a Chaos Warriors shoulder of the same period. With
several layers of armors and many rivets!
Blood Bowl game, it’s necessary to put down models on the ground, I don’t want
to ruin the painting work on this Ogre, so, I created a
marker"Prone/Stunned ". In this way, when the ogre is put downon the ground I replace it by this marker.
